Acerca del libro electrónico
While some of these photos were taken over a period of several years, the majority was taken during and after the major snowstorms that hit the Washington, D.C. region late in 2009 and in February of this year. These storms were unusual, due to the unusually high snow accumulation, resulting in several weather records falling. For example, the “official” snowfall in Germantown for the February 6-7 storm was 29 inches. (I measured between 11 to 34 inches on our property. A normal snowfall here is around 6 – 8 inches, if it snows at all. Usually, it’s a mix bag of snow, sleet and/or rain.) Needless to say, the opportunity to photograph during and after these storms resulted in a group of photos showing a wonderful contrast to those shot during a typical winter.
