Aldona Kmieć is a Polish-born photographic artist based in Naarm / Melbourne, Australia. She migrated to Australia in 2009, setting up a studio in Ballarat. Working across photography and installation, her art practice merges aspects of conceptual, staged, and documentary photography.

Aldona's recent projects include Veil which explores memory and time through long-exposure photography, movement and colour, ‘Neighbourhood Watch’ Banyule City Council’s installation of street art (2024), State Library Victoria commissions (2021-2022), In the Process of Healing (2017) site-specific installation at Ballarat Intl Foto Biennale and We R You (2013-2015), participatory paste up project in Ballarat.
