Riding The Chisholm Trail 'Once in a Lifetime' was Toni Hopper's first official book.
"I feel it is my contribution to Oklahoma history and is dedicated to the hard work and spirit of the cowboys and cowgirls who lived their dream on that trail."
Hopper was a newspaper reporter for more than 20 years, beginning as a freelance photographer in Colorado. As a photographer, she has earned both journalism and fine arts awards. Writing awards include Associated Press, Oklahoma Press Association, Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. & an Oklahoma Education Association's Marshall Gregory.
A career change landed her in tourism industry at a top western museum in Oklahoma for six and a half years overseeing public relations, marketing, social media, writing, art research and curation. She also sought out artists for shows.
"I left the news business in 2013, and enjoyed working at one of the best museums in the country."
