I was born, and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Then I met and married a guy from western Kansas. Talk about a wake up!! He was in the Army so we moved around quite a bit during our early married life. We eventually settled in Kansas in a small town that was just perfect for our family. My husband Van and I have four sons and their wives; 15 wonderful and talented grandchildren; and at this time three lovely great granddaughters.

I really enjoy writing and especially enjoy writing about our ancestors. I wrote my first book about my husband's family "The Hawkins Kids", and the current book is a picture book to recognize and celebrate our "50th Anniversary". Next I hope to begin on my life - at least what I can remember. It gives me joy to remember and then write it down.
