Maeva Komenan is an artist based in Washington, DC. Her focus is in photography, creative direction and telling stories through her lens. Originally from the Ivory Coast, Maeva moved to the United States with family at age 12. She quickly gravitated towards art, which has allowed her to tell her own stories and the story of others in an authentic way. Her goal is to continue to tell stories through her images and to redefine and revolutionize what it means to be “beautiful”.
