Calum Scott was born in Stirling, Scotland on 10th February 1974 and grew up in Ayrshire, where he attended school.
After his dream career as a professional footballer was cut tragically short by a complete lack of talent, Calum studied economics at Glasgow University before going on to work for ten years as a government economist in Scotland.
With the economy on its knees Calum decided it was the right time to take a career break and explore the world.
While on his epic journey, Calum was offered a job with the charity Opportunity International and in summer 2007 he moved to Sydney where he hoped to indulge his hobbies of scuba-diving, sailing and salsa.
