Akira Hanson is a poet, visual artist and facilitator. She lives in the Okanagan Valley in Vernon, British Columbia, on the unceded ancestral territory of the syilx Nation. Akira has two adult children and four grandchildren. Her home is at the lakeside with her husband, Albert and dog, Sol.
