MR is a multimedia experimental artist and filmmaker based in Salt Lake City, Utah. MR’s artistic aim is to drive a creative renaissance in the regularly dismissed Utah community through the co-founding of the Sundowners Art Collective, alongside MR’s creative partner Kuya. MR’s personal portfolio extends from incidental stills that radiates emotion, impressionistic paintings, experimental films, and aggressive anti-authoritarian prints. MR has a strong conviction to blur the lines of what is perceived as “beauty”. MR’s art is in direct opposition to the standards that have been placed in the popular art world, where only things that have been deemed traditionally beautiful have been celebrated.
