A photographers day spent capturing the sights at the 2019 Great Dorset Steam Fair in Dorset, England. This four day event has become almost an annual pilgrimage for those that love working vintage steam vehicles, farming equipment and other mechanical wonders of a bygone era. Held on several hundred acres of England's rolling south west countryside, the weather is always the great unknown. This year, it was glorious.

During the 70's and 80's I traveled the world extensively as a field engineer and later a sales engineer for a major electronics company. My photography interests seem to center around landscapes, aviation, transportation, things mechanical and vintage. Retirement has allowed me more time to seek out the perfect shot at the perfect time.
