Acerca del libro
This is a collection of poems. The work published here is of a reflective and observational nature. These poems are a raw, lyrical, exploration of passion, existentialism, anxiety, loss, abandonment, religion, depression, metaphysics and fear of insignificance, from adolescence to adulthood, in no particular order. A deep love for poetry and all art permeates the entire work. I’m A Thug, But I Swear For Three Days I Cried was highly influenced by the writings of Albert Camus and his philosophy of the absurd. Other influences include; Simone De Beauvoir. Poe, Aliester Crowley, William. Murakami, Charles Bukowski, Frank Ocean Jung, and Nietzsche. There are two versions, one containing poetry for thinkers of deep thoughts and ponderers existential questions. While the deluxe version is a compendium of art, fashion, taking cues from Frank Ocean’s “Boys Don’t Cry” and Solange’s “Seat at The Table.” This unconventional project will feature 4 Acts, 3 completely devoted to poetry and the 4th an existential exploration of ourselves within 33 questions. This section, in particular, is what drives me to write this email to you. This section is focused on delving into the mind of creative energies, both emerging and established. We have been blessed to interview Nick Knight, Julia Lang, Sakiya Sandifer, Iddris Sandu, and Alaska Gedeon. Pour yourself a glass of wine and curl up with this book to let yourself feel something palpable and true.
