Acerca del libro
There was a time I traveled the Great Southwest of the United States in search of the one defining image that no one else has documented. I loved this search but realized early on that this was probably not going to happen. I turned inward, metaphysically and into the studio, to create spaces or locations no one has seen before. I looked to the garden that my wife and fellow artist, Lauren has so lovingly created. Here I found a plethora of flora that I pondered over and dissected for the minutia and the landscape within. The result of this research is this book, the labor of three years, of the joy of discovering that creativity is as close as my backyard and that, creativity happens wherever and whenever one so desires. One need only put one's senses and mind to the task.
I hope you enjoy the pages in this book of my discoveries as much as I have had creating these images. Richard Eisen - October 2018
