The 2009 Mirror World Championship hosted by Pwllheli Sailing Club in the beautiful environs of North Wales attracted a truly international entry of one hundred and seven boats from as far afield as Australia, South Africa and Canada. The overseas competitors faced a tough challenge from the large British and Irish contingents who numbered several past Mirror champions amongst their squads. With such a high quality field picking an obvious favorite from the vast fleet before racing commenced was nigh on impossible

Originally from New Zealand, he spends much of his time traveling around the world shooting regattas and sailing offshore for commercial clients.
