This book is a photographic study of children taking part in the twelfth of July celebrations in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2009. The images explore the way in which these young people emulate their elders and they consequently prompt the viewer to consider themes such as identity, social and cultural evolution, tradition and control in post-troubles Northern Ireland.



How can Northern Irish society move forward whilst respecting and remembering its past?
