Acerca del libro
A book of photographs of the shops and shopkeepers of West Yorkshire. Bob Clayden spent eight months talking to and photographing the shopkeepers and shops of Smawthorne and Agbrigg in Wakefield. This series of wonderfull images show the people and culture of the area. The shops are corner shops, a window on two streets, built into the structure of the local housing. These local shops now deal in a diverse selection of goods, the photos have recorded a slice of ordinary life in an extrodinary way. A briliant resource for the study of our way of life at the start of the 21st centuary

I started, working with Theater Workshop in Stratford E15 with Joan Littlewood. Since then I have worked with community groups and exhibited my work in galleries in the UK and Europe. Working with poets and sculptors I have made books, exhibitions and multimedia within communitarian and with other artists explored the overlooked culture of the ordinary.
