Over the years I created multiple versions of myself to compensate for my lack of self acceptance. The other versions were useful when I needed to fit in or cope with my internal struggles. I perfected the ability to transition from one version of myself to the next based on the circumstances. Eventually I grew tired of performing and separated who I truly am from who I was pretending to be. The result is Fewer Versions of Myself, a collection of 20 original poems expressing the many stages of letting go and adapting in an effort to become a more genuine version of yourself.
