Acerca del creador
For two decades David's creative energy primarily found an outlet in music, but a blowpipe and furnace have replaced his guitar. David's work is known for intense colors, intricate detail and meticulous craftsmanship. His work is in numerous collections and exhibited in select galleries in the U.S., Canada and Europe. David studied at the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School, founded by Dale Chihuly and John and Anne Hauberg. David was awarded an artist residency in 2010 through the Seto City Art and Cultural Foundation and spent a month lecturing and demonstrating in Japan. Early in his career, he learned through a great deal of experimentation and visits with Afro Celotto, maestro and former assistant to Lino Tagliapietra in Murano, Italy. David has received many awards including an artistic merit scholarship for his studies at Pilchuck. David is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors at Public Glass and former Board member of the Glass Alliance of Northern California.
