Acerca del libro
This book started out as my collection of unusual, offbeat resumes. But the concept proved to be too limiting. I collect stuff! What about my collections of folk art, chopstick rests, yo yo’s, books, catalogs, magazines, umbrellas, kitchen timers, photographs, 9/11 publications, measuring devices, Ken’s file, musical spoons, Chinese take-out delivery cardboard graphics and material on interior design, the graphic design business, graphology and atheism, among other things.
I store my stuff on shelves—in lateral files, transfer files, flat files and various other storage devices, but it’s still stuff. Sprinkled throughout this book are a number of firsts: my first paycheck(s), book design, resume design assignment, birth announcement, patent application, moving notice, annual report, book authorship, Vol.1- No.1 magazine collection, and even a letter to me from the CIA.
Is this book really a mini-memoir that is told through a peek at some of my most unusual stuff? I wonder. But as a biography it is woefully incomplete. And I've made no attempt to keep the sequence chronological.
I've always been a student and appreciator of quirky, eccentric and irrational human behavior, and I hope
this book will give you a hint of my observations and obsessions. Above all, I hope you really enjoy yourself while looking over my shoulder at part of my life.
