Acerca del libro
A collection of selected images from the first 200 days of the Happy half-hours art project where I create a piece of art in 30 minutes, every day. I started this project – my Happy Half-hours – as a way to spur personal creativity. I set aside a small period of the day to do a short art project, away from my day-to-day routine of working at a computer screen. Often using just a pencil or some cut up magazines.
The idea was to make something – anything – every day for thirty minutes. Each piece, and each creative burst, is then documented on my website.
Many of the pieces were created in the ‘downtime’ of my daily commute, using source material captured onto my phone, which could then be edited, collaged and uploaded.
Some of the half-hours are parts of larger projects, others stand alone as artworks in their own right.
All were created within thirty minutes. This book is a representative selection of the first two hundred days.
