Not only could Héctor tell an amazing story, but he was also the main character in hundreds of them. This is a small collection of those stories, as told by his friends and family. We told these stories as a way to cope with our unimaginable loss and they brought us together at a time when we were at our lowest. In the process, we discovered how so many people in so many situations were touched by one incredible person

We will read these stories again and again to remember the man we looked to for love, guidance, perspective, and happiness. Héctor gave us so much to remember him by, so much to learn from, and so much to smile about. We can find solace knowing that Héctor’s legend will echo forever across the lives of all of those who were lucky to smile with him.
