...Es pertinente señalar que la relación entre la tela y el cine se entrelaza aquí de forma simbiótica y manifiesta, en un mutuo trasvase. De hecho, en esta nueva serie de pinturas sobre soportes de metal, hasta pareciera que el estilo del artista estuviera hecho de celuloide, no sólo por la memoria de los filmes que encarnan estos objetos, sino por aspectos más sutiles, como la luz fría que refleja la superficie metálica o la distancia flotante entre la obra y la pared.

Enrique Collar
Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Enrique Collar, was born in Paraguay in 1964. Began exhibiting in 1990. He later moved to Holland, where he currently lives in Rotterdam. A painter, photographer, writer and filmmaker, he took part in the exhibition “Dutch Art Now” New York, in the shorlist of the BP Portrait Award 2006, National Portrait Gallery, London, and has won several painting prizes. He is the author of films and scripts such as “Novena”. In 2010 he win the first prize in the International Figurative Award for Painting and Sculpture of the Fundació de les Arts i els Artistes, Spain.
