Brian Lines began writing his life story in Spring 1996 when he was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and being told he had only three months to live, he decided to leave something for his Children and Grand Children to look back on and see how things were for him in his life time.
Brian's intention was to leave a simple flip folder for each of his three Children for them to read and pass down. The folders were created but at the time of his death, the book was still very much 'work in progress'.
After Brians death lots of things happened and although the folders were kept safe they were never actually finalised, it is only now, some ten years later that this book has been created in the format it deserves.

The fact that Brian was unable to finish his life story, could not be changed, however, had anyone else attempted to complete the story on his behalf this would immediately cease to be the biography it he intended. therefore, it seemed right and fitting to leave it, how he wrote it, in its incomplete state, as this is a 'true life' story and true life doesn't always have a perfect ending.
