2016 - First Edition This book celebrates the local music scene in three towns on the eastern side of York Region (the GTA) north of Toronto. This is my collection of photographs and biographies for the last three years. These are the talented performers and fans who come out to the Open Mics every week to entertain us and try out new material. I hope this book will encourage you to come out to a local Open Mic where ever you are.

Doug got his first camera at the age of five. After high school, he got into wildlife photography, and later on his wife Debra joined him in travel photography. The three "family" books, where a result of loosing most of his family in 2011. As a retired high school teacher, Doug got into music and writing, which spawned his most recent book - "Open Mic" on the local music scene.
