Few people knew that besides her musical life, Marjanne created a whole other world, This was an atmosphere a world that was important to her as music. She called it her " Innerworld". Over tens of years she had acquired a huge collection of a very diverse variety of objects. She saved many things: awkwardly shaped pieces of wood and stones that she had found during walks, battered utensils and tools,

some of which came from her parents, and quite regularly she would buy wondrous objects at the Monday morning market on the Noordermarkt. This growing 'ensemble' resided in her house in its bizarre diversity and from this rich collection she composed many mysterious still-lifes.
