Acerca del creador
Eduardo E Latour was born in Havana, Cuba. In 1959, while attending Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, the Cuban revolution forces him to move to New York City and start a new life. He graduated from New York Institute of Photography and landed some assistant jobs to famous photographers like Norman Karlson and Hal Reiff. While working for a major department store in Washington DC, as an in-house photographer, he decided to go on his own and created Latour Photography. He worked as a freelance photographer for more than 20 years traveling all over the world and doing assignments for clients like the US Navy, Inter American Development Bank, Westinghouse, Organization of American States, Washington Post, Cancer Society and several advertising agencies. His work took him to photograph farewell places as well as important dignitaries and personalities. His portrait of Lady Bird Johnson became a painting that hangs in the National Gallery of Portraits in Washington, D. C.
