Acerca del libro
These enigmatic images, all made pre-digitally, not only invite the viewer to reconsider our perceptions of how something looks –– particularly in the realm of light and shadow –– but also to appreciate that what we accept as normal is a result of conditioning, similar to the way light and shadow is processed in our brains, or, for that matter, the way film renders light and dark.
There is also revealed in these images, because of the double exposures, an unsettling sense of looking at images that seem to change before our eyes as we unravel and reconstruct what we think we see.
