Born and raised in Nanaimo BC, I have always been a fan of local history. The Nanaimo Bathtub Race in one event in my home town that I have always been interested in. I have been taking part in this annual race, and many other races based around it, since 2006. I now serve on the board of directors for the Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society and always do what I can to help promote this zany sport, and the festive events surrounding it, that has been a large part of my home town's history.
