Acerca del libro
Stan Mock is a mixed media artist interested in the psychological dynamic of combined portraits. In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s Mr. Mock began coating large sheets of water-color paper with photo-emulsion and printing from found photographs. These images were cut and collaged with thin sheets of polyester resin and mounted on wood panels. These explorations form the foundations of the works contained in this book.
This book includes Mr. Mock's Sea of Cortez, Andaman Sea and South China Sea series, as well as a number of individual works produced between 1986-87 and 2005.
Mr. Mock's works have been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Armand Hammer Museum of Art, as well as at a number of museums around the United States.
