Acerca del libro
Irving Sinclair was a well known artist in San Francisco between the 1930's and 1960's. His reputation as a portrait artist of San Francisco's society and civic figures was wide spread. During World War II, the City of Paris displayed his patriotic paintings including Generals MacArthur and Eisenhower, President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill. Numerous restaurants set their themes around Irving's paintings and murals. His boats and seascapes were featured at several popular seafood restaurants. Irving's paintings of nudes which covered the walls of the Domino Club were admired the world over -- especially "Gloria", a reclining young woman painted on glass for display at the 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Exposition at Treasure Island.
