Acerca del libro
The tulip is one of the wold's most easily recognised and loved flowers. The dominant definition of the word tulip is 'perfect love'. Due to it's brightly coloured petals and smooth shape the tulip is a welcome sign of spring. It creates a sense of mystery and romance often evoked in literature, poetry and paintings. The photographer has tried to replicate this fragile abstract beauty in his images by moving beyond the simple recording process. Using a range of compositional ideas, colour arrangements and soft focus techniques he has attempted to produce an artistically satisfying collection of images.

My passion for flower photography started about five years ago when I found the macro mode on my digital bridge camera and took a close up of the inside of an azalea. I loved the way that everything seemed to blur into colour and form. Since then I have been attempting to create artistic interpretations of flowers based upon an impressionistic approach: images that imitate paintings and encourage individuals to use there imagination thereby producing an emotional response in the viewer.
