The tragic story of The Arandora Star, a former luxury cruise liner used in WWII as a floating prison ship. It was sunk off the coast of Ireland by a German U Boat whilst transporting Italian and German prisoners of war to internment camps in Canada with the loss of over 800 lives. The book is a collection of intimate portraits and recollections of people who were directly affected by the tragedy.
