God chose to bring salvation to the world through the faith of one man, Abraham. Abraham had to leave everything behind if he wanted to get to the promised land and the blessing that came with it. It was a struggle all the way, and Abraham didn't always choose the right thing. But he continued to believe God's promises, whether he saw the evidence or not, and to act in obedience and faith. He is a wonderful example to all believers.
