Acerca del creador
David H. Curtis originally trained as a cell biologist in the UK. In the early 1980's he began embracing photography as an expressive medium, drawn to cityscapes in his native London. Professional opportunities took him to New York City, where he wrote, produced and directed science documentary programs for public television at WNET- Channel Thirteen; and later to the Midwest, to develop and direct video communications and educational outreach programs at the University of Illinois' National Center for Supercomputing Applications. In 2006 Curtis reconnected with his photographic eye and began experimenting in a variety of genres. When, after seventeen years living and working in the Midwest, he and his wife returned to New York, he focused his attentions on cityscapes, street portraits and photo-narratives, many of which are featured in this volume. A number of Curtis's images have been exhibited and won awards in the U.S.A.
