Ernest Hemingway said it best: Paris is a "moveable feast." I first visited the city 20 years ago and have returned many times. My interest began even earlier when I fell under the spell of the writer Marcel Proust, whose famous novel "In Search of Lost Time" is set in Paris. Later I studied the French to read him in his own language and to better understand France's history, culture and art. The 32 photographs were originally shot in color on film and digitally. They have been converted to black and white to better evoke the timeless quality of Paris.
