A photo journal of some of the trees growing on the Angkor temples near Siem Reap and Benteay Chhmar in Cambodia. Some of the temples have huge trees growing on the buildings with their very large roots draped along the masonry. In addition, there are photos of other flowers and some animals.

I was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1950, grew up there when it was a much slower place to live. As a child, I spent a lot of time in the bush (woods) and developed a love for the outdoors and plants in particular. I have been working as a consultant botanist since 1988, mostly in Western Australia. 2004 was the first time I had been overseas, to present a research paper based on my PhD in Rhodes Island, Greece. In that first tip I went to Scotland, Greece, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and briefly England. Halfway through that trip I decided that I liked traveling a lot and have been doing it as much as possible since then. Other countries I have traveled through are: Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Finland, France, Germany, Laos, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Russia, Siberia, Svalbard, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam. Since 2020 I have been assisting as a tour guide at Tozer’s Bush Camp near Bremer Bay, showing off the 75 species of orchids found on his property.
