Acerca del libro
This book of timelines covers various fields of study, including history, wars, political leaders, the British monarchy, U.S. presidents, religious founders and movements, literature, art, music, mathematics, science and philosophy. Each field of study is broken into time periods which are scaled consistently across all fields of study so timelines can be compared between the various fields. Each timeline is color-coded to help identify subdivisions within each time range.
The time periods covered are pre-history (15000 BC to 3000 BC), ancient history (3500 BC to 400 AD), the middle ages (400 AD to 1500 AD) including the Renaissance, early modern history (1500 AD to approximately 1750 AD), modern and post-modern history (approximately 1750 AD to present, 2014 AD).
The second edition contains expanded Literature, Art, Math and Science sections and the Modern History section has been revised and simplified for the sake of comparison. In addition, an index for the book is now available and can be purchased separately.
