GERMANY UP NORTH is the photographic outcome of four visits to the north of Germany between 2012 and 2015. It features 88 photographs of some of the region's ancient trading centers of the Hanseatic League, namely Stralsund, Rostock, Hamburg and Bemen, the economic and political powerhouses of Hannover and Berlin, as well as Hameln, city of fairytale fame and the ancient capital of Meklenburg-Vorpommern, Schwerin. ///// THE PHOTOGRAPHS were taken on a digital SLR camera, while technique followed a classic approach with predominant use of a 35mm prime lens (occasionally shorter focal lengths were employed) and maximum depth of field.
