Acerca del libro
Hello readers of Punctuation: A Sweet Treat! The fourth and fifth graders in Alicia Ernest’s class at Lab School for Creative Learning read a book, a book so good that we decided to make our own…The book Press Here by Herve Tullet, inspired us greatly! We made our own punctuation version with creative drawings, writing, and much more. We chose to have a call and response book to connect with our readers. We would recommend this book to all ages whether you are two or one hundred and two. The author (me) is in fifth grade. My name is Ella Luce; I was chosen by my vice principal, Starr Hill, to write and revise my book so that we could enter it into the “Kids Are Authors” contest. Then we decided to get more people involved in this amazing opportunity. First, we picked Arden Miller in fourth grade as illustrator number one. She worked hard to get these amazing little punctuation marks down on the page. Next we chose Kadan Pischer in fourth grade to be illustrator number two. He worked on all of the cookies on the book, including the front cover. We worked for about five days straight to get this book finished. I love writing, so it was great to have this experience in editing and working together to get something done. Kadan thought that it was fun for sure, and he would love to do it again. Arden’s experience was that it was an exciting and thrilling ride to be on. It was exciting to be on a time crunch of five days, which I thought made us work even harder and pushed us closer to our dream. I would like to thank my friends, Annie and Megan, and everyone else who had to deal with us out of class, lunch, recess and lots more.
