The Tristate Zoological Park is a non-profit set in the mountains of Western Maryland.

Being a small zoo, it offers an up close opportunity that visitors don't get in larger zoos.

The author is one of many volunteers who are devoted to helping the owners, Bob and Donna Candy, make the zoo an attraction enjoyed by young and old alike.
