Who would have thought ...
that a little white duck, a guinea pig and a teddy bear could find exciting adventure in the backyard of a house just like any other?!
Join Quack-a-Lack, her best friend Carl and the children of the house on Wood Street as treasured childhood memories are brought to life in these engaging stories of love, trust and true friendship.
Author Susan Bravek is a native Californian who grew up in Alhambra. These stories are based on animals her family raised in their backyard when she was a child. In the evenings, her children loved to hear stories about her childhood and she would tell them about all the animals and their adventures. Since diagnosed with cancer in 2005, Susan decided she had better put these stories down on paper as a legacy to her children.
Susan lives in Garden Grove, California with her husband and three children. She is currently undergoing her second round of chemotherapy.
