Acerca del libro
A collection of windows snapped all over Italy between 2006 and 2013. There is something appealing about the shuttered windows and wrought iron balconies of Italy. This book has all sorts, from the quintessential shuttered windows, to the grander styles found on old public buildings. There is no story to the book, nor facts about architecture or historical periods, but simply the windows themselves.
Imagine though, what a story there could be if we knew what dramas have taken place behind those closed shutters. Stories of life and love, of newborns, of raising families, hiding from wars, and later welcoming liberators from the balconies, laughter, tears, sickness and death. Stories of joy and stories of sadness. In a way, these windows are the portals to thousands of lives over the centuries, each guarding a myriad secrets.
