Acerca del libro
The number of children killed and wounded in Afghanistan's war increased last year as the Taliban stepped up attacks across the country and continued to lay thousands of roadside bombs, as reported by the United Nations. The rising civilian toll underscores mounting levels of violence in Afghanistan. This book outlines the many different faces of the innocent children that have suffered through and endured the struggles that are placed upon them during the many years of conflict. As seen first hand, while in the different areas of Afghanistan that I traveled through, I was able to see a common thread of the child-like innocence still shining through, and refusing to be suppressed, even during war.
