I have been living in Cheung Chau for over thirty years. Everything on the island has become part of my life and habits. Often, I wander the familiar streets with my camera. The act of taking pictures provokes in me a feeling of discovery and then surprise for things that I had long considered ordinary. I am in love and, somewhat addicted, to the ambigous sensations caused by the process of re-discovery.

At the same time I am just as surprised by the feeling of familiarity that I experienced when I decided to slip into the virtual world in Google map, I was seeing places where I had never been, and yet I was recollecting memories of home from an unfamiliar place - close but far, sharp yet blurred.
