Acerca del libro
Claudia Mengel's - Paintings are a rich emotional interpretation of the landscape. With a sketchbook approach, the artist transforms a traditional subject through rigorous line with a deep sensitivity to fluid color. Ms. Mengel draws her inspiration from years of living by the ocean in Long Island as well as experiencing the beauty of her current home in Connecticut. This volume features paintings from intimate 12" X 12" to large format 96" X 84" canvases. The 40 pages of both detail and full shots capture it all.
Claudia Mengel - Paintings is the first volume in a series of three.
Claudia Mengel - Figures and Claudia Mengel - Prints will be available Fall 2007.
A limited number of signed copies are available.
