Acerca del libro
In 1881, Orlando Scott Goff took the very first wet plate collodion image of Chief Sitting Bull here in Bismarck, North Dakota. Ernie LaPointe is the only living Great Grandson of the beloved Chief. Enclosed in this book are the wet plate images that were taken of him 133 years later using the same photographic process. This session was meant to pay respect not only to the great Chief but also the photographer that first captured him in silver on glass.

My name is Shane Balkowitsch and I founded the Nostalgic Glass Wet Plate Studio on October 4th, 2012. The images that I make with silver and glass will last for hundreds of years, long after the subjects are gone. Wet plate collodion is the only process that I know.
