Breast cancer is a complex disease with multiple causes. The book uses a systems biology approach that combines genetics, molecular biology, and epidemiology to examine DNA damage, DNA repair, cell proliferation, and cell death (apoptosis) and assess their interactive contributions to the complex etiology of breast cancer.
