I wrote my first poem at Killowen Primary School approx 1955. I still remember the poem it was called "St Patrick" . Never thought about reading or writing poetry again until the death of the Late Seamus Heaney.

I decided to read one of his many books and suddenly became hooked and wanted to try and write something of my own. I wrote my first poem October 2013 and have continued to write reflecting my thoughts, childhood experiences etc

I have written over eighty poems since then and have included a selection of these in this book, I have also included some photographs some of these taken on various trips abroad and some local, others I have borrowed. I have tried to use the pictures to reflect my thoughts on the poems I have included in this publication
