Acerca del libro
I'm sure that many people imagine a combat tour in Iraq to be a life-changing event, no matter if you're out on the mean streets or supporting those who are. Although I stayed much safer than most, my two tours indelibly changed me, and made me appreciate more than ever the importance of capturing the moments to share with friends and family.
Almost as important is knowing that you have something to look back on much more solid than frail memories. This book uses a combination of my photos and journals of my 2005 tour in Iraq with the intent of sharing the experience with people I care about, as well as educating and informing those who never had the opportunity to go to Iraq.
I hope this provides another perspective on the thousands of individual experiences others have had in Iraq.
