FACES OF WATER
Water links all beings. Our need for it and our attraction to it connects us all on a primal level.
Water completely ignores visible light.
Everything we see is visible light waves reflected off
an object to our eyes.
Light passes through water as if it isn't there.
Water is invisible to our eyes.
Invisible matter to our eyes looks like what we "think"
water looks like: Clear.
Water takes the form of the vessel that contains it.
The only time water shows its pure form is when it is Moving. Currents moving in the ocean are like winds moving in the air. They have forms, which are invisible to our eyes.
Faces of Water exposes those forms by visually capturing the movement in Water.
Moses Hacmon’s Faces of Water is part art, part science, part spiritual awakening. It is a breathtaking, haunting collection of photographic images of water that transforms and advances our understanding of this life-giving substance, exposes a layer of reality previously hidden from sight.
Each photograph depicts a small universe with beautiful,
unique life forms dancing within it. Figures and shapes appear, evoking a feeling of familiarity and a subconscious sense of belonging to a hidden world.

Moses Hacmon
Los-Angeles CA
Moses Hacmon is an artist and designer. Born in 1977 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Moses studied cinematography and fine art at Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel-Aviv. In 2006 Moses completed his B.Arch with AIA honors award, from SCI_Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture). After graduating Moses started intense training in movement and dance with Body Weather Laboratory to explore water in a somatic manner. Moses spent ten years studying Water’s composition, properties, and movement. Moses developed a photographic technique that captures the hidden life of this substance for the first time; it’s called Faces of Water. This technique exposes the movement of life within Water and its infinite form.
