Acerca del libro
Music was an integral part of Oleg Prokofiev's childhood, and his own creativity was surely affected by it. Many of his sculptural works and early abstract paintings could be simple records of the baton through the air, keeping time and drawing music out in shapes.
His return to painting in 1994 was equally expressive, using unexpected tones, just as his father Sergei Prokofiev used ‘wrong notes’ as chromatic twists in his compositions. The resultant effect is a collection of paintings on fire, every leaf bristling with life, skin glowing as though the faces were lanterns. The energy of this artist connects painting directly with his love for music.
