During the Chevauchée of 1355, the Prince of Wales led his English and Gascon soldiers on a two month campaign deep into Southern France, leaving Bordeaux on 5th October and returning there on 2nd December.

This booklet collects together specific information that relates to the Prince and his army passing through the Gers and crossing the Valley of the Save, first on his outward journey towards Narbonne and then on his return to Bordeaux.
